Draft — this is a structural skeleton, not documentation. Most pages are empty stubs listing what they will cover. Nothing here is finished, and some of it describes parts of Baseout that are not built yet.

Getting started

Setting up a Space runs in one order, and each step depends on the one before it: connect an Airtable Source, pick a Destination to write backups to, choose which Bases are included, set the schedule, then run the first backup.

This page will walk that sequence with the screens as they actually appear, including what happens when Airtable gives Baseout access to only some of your bases.

  1. Sign in to Baseout.
  2. Connect your Airtable account as a Source.
  3. Choose a storage Destination.
  4. Select bases and set the schedule.
  5. Run your first backup.
  • What does Baseout ask Airtable for, and can I limit it?
  • Some of my bases are missing from the picker — why?
  • Do I have to pick a Destination before I can select bases?
  • What does the first backup actually do, and how long does it take?
  • What do I see once it finishes?

The five steps above are the sequence, not the instructions. The screens, the choices at each step, and the partial-access case are all unwritten.
