Draft — this is a structural skeleton, not documentation. Most pages are empty stubs listing what they will cover. Nothing here is finished, and some of it describes parts of Baseout that are not built yet.

Running a backup now

Run backup now starts a backup immediately instead of waiting for the next scheduled run. Baseout asks you to confirm first, because an off-schedule run uses additional credits.

While a run is in flight it can be paused and restarted, or cancelled. Those are the only two actions on a run — there is no delete and no run-again, because a run is an immutable record.

  • When would I run a backup off-schedule?
  • What does an off-schedule run cost me?
  • Can I stop a run halfway, and what happens to what it already wrote?
  • Does pausing a run lose its progress?
  • Why can I not delete a run from the history?

Only the summary above. The credit arithmetic is not drafted and depends on the unsettled plan model.
