Draft — this is a structural skeleton, not documentation. Most pages are empty stubs listing what they will cover. Nothing here is finished, and some of it describes parts of Baseout that are not built yet.

Restoring attachments

The restore flow asks how attachments should come back. You can have Baseout re-upload the files into the new Airtable tables as real attachments, or write links to the copies already held in your backup destination.

This page will explain the trade-off between the two, which one suits which situation, and what happens to attachments that were never captured in the first place.

  • Which option should I pick, and why?
  • Does re-uploading count against my Airtable storage?
  • If I pick links, what happens when the destination file moves or is deleted?
  • What about attachments the backup could not capture?
  • Can I change my mind after the restore?

Only the summary above.
